About this Mountain

Expeditions to Spantik Peak start with a breath taking flight past Nanga Parbat and down into Skardu, followed by a Jeep ride through Baltistan countryside to Harando Village. The next morning the spectacular trek to base camp up the Harando Glacier begins. You will pass some of the most breath taking scenery in the Karakoram. Spantik Peak climb is not more challenging peak than nearby peaks. We climb the peak by the  south East Ridge route that is the most commonly climbed line followed by the climbers. The route follows a 30-45 degree snow slopes with short rock section at the beginning up to comp one. Three camps will be placed and ropes will be fixed on the steeper sections of the climb. It is an excellent and exciting challenge for a mid-level as well as a senior level mountaineers.
