Pakistan is the home of 5 of the 14 world highest mountain peaks. Four of them are in the immediate area surrounding Concordia – the confluence of the Baltoro Glacier and the Godwin Austen Glacier. There are 108 peaks above 7,000 metres, and many more above 6,000m. There is no count of the peaks above 5,000 and 4,000m. The Northern areas of Pakistan are heaven for mountain-lovers, explorers, adventure seekers, climbers and photographers of the great outdoors and nature at its most spectacular.
